Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) is one of Türkiye's largest private universities. Founded in Istanbul in 2007, its main campus is in Florya (Küçükçekmece), right next to the Beşyol metrobus stop. More than 35,000 students, including over 7,000 international students from 113 countries, study associate, bachelor's, master's and PhD programmes taught in English and Turkish. Istanbul Aydın University was founded in 2007 by the Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV). Its roots go back to Anadolu BİL Vocational School, active since 2003 and still the university's largest associate-degree school. The university's motto is "Towards a Bright Future".
The university has 14 faculties, including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Engineering, Architecture and Design, Law, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Communication, Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts, Sports Sciences, Education and Applied Sciences (including Pilotage). It also has two vocational schools and a graduate institute, offering more than 200 programmes from associate to PhD level.
According to the university's official 2025 report, IAU hosts 7,356 international students from 113 countries, the highest number of any university in Türkiye. The VM Medical Park Florya university hospital and a dental clinic with 203 units provide hands-on training for health students.
Istanbul Aydın University operates under Türkiye's Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Its degrees are official, and it holds the European Commission's ECTS Label and DS Label.

Not required at the application stage. English-taught programmes accept TOEFL iBT (min. 78), PTE Academic (min. 71), YDS/YÖKDİL or the IAU proficiency exam. Turkish-taught programmes require B2 (C1 for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy); without a certificate, students join the preparatory language programme.

The main campus is connected to the whole city by metrobus and the Marmaray train (Florya station). From Istanbul Airport, take the M11 metro and then the metrobus to Beşyol.
