How much can an upfront payment or scholarship save?
Some universities give a discount when you pay the whole year at once. At Eastern Mediterranean University the medicine fee is published after the scholarship. These are the figures on the official lists:
- EMU 30–45% Medicine and Dentistry Scholarship: USD 14,510–18,140
- İstinye 5% Upfront Payment Discount: USD 27,550 instead of USD 29,000
- Medipol 10% Upfront Payment Discount (Medicine): USD 36,000 instead of USD 40,000
How much cheaper is Turkish-taught or 30% English medicine?
These universities also publish a fee for a Turkish-taught or 30% English program:
- Medipol: 30% English USD 34,000, compared with English at USD 40,000
- İstinye: Turkish USD 23,000, compared with English at USD 29,000
- Haliç: Turkish USD 21,400, compared with English at USD 24,000

What do you pay on top of tuition?

- At EMU: English prep year USD 3,520–4,613 + USD 250 per term.
- Dormitory rent, paid directly to the dormitory; official prices are on the dormitories page.
- Living costs; for Famagusta: Per the university's guide, USD 300–500 a month; about USD 11,000–16,500 a year in total, and USD 19,000–28,000 for medicine.
